Don Rodolfo
Ciarán Dowd put his all into his debut solo show. In a spoof of swashbuckling adventures, Dowd – one third of sketch troupe BEASTS – played Don Rodolfo Martini Toyota, a debauched 17th century Spanish adventurer, complete with Zorro-esque sword, dodgy accent and an eye for the ladies. It was a ridiculously silly hour, packed full of high-energy set pieces, rug-pulling one-liners and a strong, twisting narrative.
